Our one week in Rome was sandwiched in between 2 weeks in England. In February. Will it be freezing or will it be termperate or will it be unseasonably warm? Will it be dry or will it rain? Always the same questions.
So here's my packing list:

-1 black v-neck wool sweater
-1 long-sleeved purple tee-shirt

-tights - black, grey, purple
-black walking boots

-pink leather gloves
-knickers (7), bras (2)
-sleeping clothes, silk robe
-toiletry kit (shared with husband): shampoo, conditioner, face cleanser, moisturizer, comb, nail file and clippers, deodorant, razor and spare blades, shaving foam, contact lenses, acetaminophen, ibuprophen, bandaids, allergy pills, inhaler, throat lozenges, nasal spray, toothbrushes, tooth paste, floss
-makeup, sewing kit, contact lenses
-jewellery (a few earring options, one 'statement' necklace, 2 rings)
-glasses, sunglasses, reading glasses (for when I wear my contacts)
-umbrella
-camera, spare battery, spare memory card, case
-palm treo, ipod, charger, cords, UK and European plug adapters
-passport, copies
-other paperwork (museum reservation numbers, shuttle reservation number, city notes, etc.)
-(tiny) language guide book
-magazines I've been meaning to read but didn't have the time and I can throw them away afterwards
-gifts for friends
